A full-time position has arisen for a Payroll Administrator to join our existing team, which offers a first class payroll bureau service, based at our Nantwich, Cheshire office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration and processing of payrolls for small to medium sized clients, from start to finish, with minimal supervision. The Role:- To process all types of manual payroll calculations, including Director’s NI To have extensive knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments, e.g redundancy, SMP/SAP/SPP and SSP when running client payrolls To possess knowledge of auto-enrolment pension schemes for the purpose of payroll processing, including the AE process and pension upload to pension providers’ websites To send BACS payments To assist with small client set-ups To be proactive and keep up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance To proactively carry out payroll reconciliations and analysis with no supervision To proactively liaise with HMRC and assist with technical enquiries To develop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels Knowledge of STAR Payroll Professional will be an advantage but is not essential Personal Skill Set:- Excellent knowledge of Excel Good numeracy and IT skills Previous payroll experience, ideally within a professional services environment Attention to detail and high concern for accuracy Ability to organise own workload and prioritise tasks Value the importance of teamwork, with a ‘can do’ attitude Respond willingly to colleague’s reasonable requests Our offer:- Join a friendly and well-established team of 7 others with flexible working: 8.00am to 4.30pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm, with 1 hour lunch.
