At Afford Bond, we pride ourselves on a proactive and modern approach to supporting our clients’ accountancy needs in a rapidly changing world.

It’s a strength built on decades of experience – as evidenced by the passing of a significant milestone: 50 years at our Wellington Road office in Nantwich (although we have been in the town for more like 100 years…).

And while it’s great to reflect on our achievements, we never stand still: our latest move has been to open a third office (we also have a base in Wilmslow) in the centre of Manchester as we strive to grow our client base across the North West.

Director Paul Edwards, who began his career with the firm nearly 30 years ago, explained: ‘At Afford Bond we believe in both welcoming new expertise into the team and growing our own talent-base from within – we have some employees that have been with us for close to 50 years!’

‘It is this combination of collective wisdom and new blood which gives us the advantage in so many traditional business sectors, which sit alongside more recent innovations like AI, technology and media…. And we offer our clients the same level of attention to detail and focus, whether they are lone owner operators or multi-million pound enterprises with significant workforces and premises.

‘My own history with the business dates back to the ‘90s, when an interview with Mr Mike Bond set my feet on the ladder of a great career, with opportunities to progress and develop my skills with the firm.

‘Today is no different – like my fellow employees at Afford Bond, I am always checking for changes in legislation or new government schemes which offer opportunities for our clients to grow their businesses and invest in their future – which all contributes to the prosperity of UK plc!

‘It’s a real privilege to play a small part in that – both personally and as a firm with a strong and growing reputation across the North West.’
