Agricultural community benefits from grants

Jan 15, 2018

The Countryside Stewardship have just opened applications for grants for new ‘Woodland Creations’. For many of Cheshire’s agricultural businesses, this may well be a good time to bring some woodland areas into agricultural use and will allow farmers to potentially claim further tax relief. The Woodland Creation grant is a stand alone capital grant. If you are a farmer or land manager, you can apply for a 2-year capital works programme to plant and protect young trees. If you qualify, a supporting maintenance grant of £200 per hectare for 10 years may also be available. For further information, please contact Lindsay.Beeston@affordbond.com at our Nantwich office.
