Possible fracking in Cheshire

Aug 1, 2017

Fracking is the controversial process of injecting liquid at high pressure into subterranean rocks and boreholes to open existing fissures to extract oil and gas.  Over the past 2 years, an extensive seismic survey has been taking place in Cheshire and the North West region of our country – and as a result of this, a number of our agricultural and rural clients have now been approached for test drilling sites.

If you are approached for a licence for drilling, it is very important that you take professional accounting and taxation advice to ensure your farming interests are adequately protected.  The levels of income promised may seem very attractice at first glance, but it is vital that our farming enterprise is protected for both commercial and financial reasons, and also for agricultural taxation purposes.  Please contact Lindsay.Beeston@affordbond.com for further information or use the Contact form here on our website.  Afford Bond Chartered Accountants in Cheshire.
